I bought these because they were cheap and the reviews seem good. They honestly worked very well and were very bright, but only lasted about a year. Literally a year has passed and one light went out one day and another for the next two days. While they were vibrant I'm not sure how good they actually are in terms of UVA and UVB. I had them for my cage with hermit crabs, which are nocturnal anyway, but presumably they will still move around during the day given the right conditions. I've rarely seen them with these lights on, but after they went out and I switched to a different brand, they seemed to come on. However, I was also able to wet her cage around the same time I changed the lightbulbs, so I can't tell you which had the greatest effect.
