Huge Bosch markup on cheap product

I'm a Bosch fan. Mainly because I like the logo and the blue color. So I stupidly spend a lot of money on Bosch stuff. I've wanted her for a long time. At the same time, I was very interested in Knipex. Everyone told me they were incredible. So I was bored, needed new tools and had money on hand and ordered this and a similar Knipex for about $12 more. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B001094GLY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_5ZZQ51MQEPQ4F9BKFH2C?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1Bosch definitely looks sexy. But they work hard and have flaws. One of these has leaked rust - I've sprayed silicone grease on the needle nose pliers - A LOT - and they still don't work reliably (won't open fully and get stuck). On closer inspection, this may be due to the shape of the metal parts not matching perfectly. Bosch is made in China, and while I usually dismiss this criticism, it's true. Meanwhile, Knipex worked perfectly out of the box. They feel great. They don't feel cheap. They are made in Germany. So for the extra $12, I recommend getting the Knipex. Or you buy a similar product in China and do without middlemen for a significantly lower price. You are paying for the Bosch name here.
