Review on 5 Pack Pocketman T6 1200 Lumens LED Tactical Flashlight - Water Resistant, 5 Modes & Adjustable Focus (New Version) by Tim Lea

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Using as day time lights on my road bicycle.

What I want is a light that is bright enough during the day to scare the cars away, and is relatively cheap. The reason for "cheap" is because when a bicycle is parked, sometimes stuff disappears. A light that cost me about $5.00 I am not going to be too upset about losing. Other criteria is a body that is 1" to 1.2" in diameter, so it will fit standard mounts. I also want a light that can be run using 3 AAA batteries, or one 18650 battery. One of the nice features of this light is the extended length of the tail cap. This allows easy removal of the battery without needing to take it out of the mount to do so. Another nice feature is that it comes with a spacer tube to allow for a better fit for 18650 batteries.Brightness: It is quite visible in daylight, bright enough to suit my needs. I have no way of measuring the output, so I compare by setting it next to other lights with advertised output of 200, 300, and 500 lumen. It appears to be as bright as the 300 lumen light, which is less than the advertised output. Note that this is very subjective. If it had been advertised as 300 lumen, I would have given it 5 stars vs 3.Durability: So far, I have only used one of the lights. I did a run test using a fully charged 3400 mAh 18650 battery, it ran for 7 hours. I stopped the test when the voltage dropped to 2.9v. The test was done using strobe mode, and at 7 hours was highly visible in bright sun from 300 feet. Unfortunately, the light failed just after completing a short, 20 minute ride. I put the tail cap on another light, and it worked fine. So the problem is with the LED or connections to it. Hopefully, the other 4 will hold up. If they do, then I will bump up the durability rating, but it will take me some time to use all four of them.Updated 4/11/20I have run the other four lights for 27 hours each now, all work great. A nice thing is that they do not change modes when hitting bumps in the trail. I am upgrading the "Overall Rating" to 4 stars since 4 out of 5 of the lights work.

Pros
  • Just as expected. One didn't work, but the other 4 are really good!!
Cons
  • The flashlight does not come with a belt clip
