I needed a WiFi hotspot to send a signal to a neighboring building. Mesh systems don't work because of metal roofs and thick walls. I needed a transmitter that connected directly to my router. I managed to install it outside the house. I've watched several Youtube videos showing how to connect to a router. I connected to Apple Airport Extreme and it was very easy. My fiber optic connection is raging at 100 Mbit/s. With a 5G antenna I can receive at least 90% of what is in a building 25 m away. I had no luck with the 2.4G antenna. In general I am satisfied with the results.
