Well the idea is great but definitely not to wear out to pasture, my mare is quite nice, doesn't ruin her other fly mask, doesn't ruin the blankets but she manages within an hour, when I put it on. I'll have to think about getting a fly mask with ear plugs to protect it from the bugs, I was hoping to just do the ears. I also clipped the bangs hoping it would be less of a hassle and last longer, but that didn't happen. It works well with a bridle for riding or for controlled herding, but not for driving.
