For a $19 camera, it works well. Infrared night vision works well enough to see objects at night. Details are reduced with less ambient light. More detail in daylight. This is shown in the picture. The top image is the infrared sensor built into the camera and the bottom image is my redundant LED modules. The 5 gallon bucket is about 15 feet behind the bumper. You can't compare this camera to an OEM mount camera that easily costs $500+, they're obviously in a different league. For $19 they work very well. This is on EDGE CTS2. Simply connect the camera to a constant 12V dongle and connect the RCA cable. If you don't connect it to the power button, CTS2 won't recognize the camera when booting up. By connecting it this way, you can automatically switch to the camera at any time, not just in reverse.
