Review on 🌟 High-Quality Yellow PETG Filament, 1.75mm Diameter by Mike Rubenstein

You need to dry it

Let me start with the bottom line: This PETG is surprisingly good quality for this price range. All spools I have purchased have ended up printing reliably and producing high quality prints with a good overall finish. Unfortunately, this is not the end of the story. All the coils I bought also contained some moisture. The spools came sealed and shipped straight to my printer, where I immediately had issues with adhesion and quality. It took several minutes to watch the nozzle to see obvious pops and bubbles. I have noticed this problem with every reel I have purchased from this brand. The filament can be used in this state, but there may be surface quality issues and difficult adhesion. However, moisture stress is a solvable problem. If you don't have a filament dryer, bake it in the oven or food dryer. 150Β° is enough and you need to keep it on for at least 4-5 hours if using the oven method. My guess is that the boxes this filament comes in aren't properly sealed, so you might as well put it in a sealed container with a few packets of desiccant for a week. I can't repeat it enough: the print quality of this filament is GREAT after drying. There is a problem with the production or the packaging/delivery, but the product itself works fine. I've left my coils outside for over a week after drying with no problems so they don't seem to pick up moisture from the air any faster than other PETG coils. It's not plug and play, but the price makes this thread quite a steal if you're willing to take the time to prepare it.
