I bought them because I've moved to an area that can experience power outages. I had one and had to fill up the generator with gas. I ended up making such a mess, and that was AFTER checking the tanks once, before making any more mess. We ended up removing the safety valve and pouring through a funnel like I did from a conventional gas cylinder in 1978 with no safety precautions. Maybe that was on purpose. I thought I could save money but ended up losing. I have emailed the company that does this and told them their product is rubbish but I doubt they will respond.
