Review on Power Gear Tester 110V 125V 50957 by David Lamfers

I bought one of these when I bought my house. I had a home inspection, but I still wanted to make sure everything was done right no matter what. This will tell you very quickly if there is a problem. I also used this to more precisely locate where the GFCI schemas are located. I found that my kitchen outlets are NOT GFCI protected! The?! Of course I had to fix it. My home inspector also told me that my garage power plug was not GFCI protected, but it turns out it was (same circuit as bathroom outlets). I saw the inspector had one of these so I'm not sure why he concluded it wasn't protected. I also used it on a new circuit I started. I made sure it was plugged in properly (not that it was difficult). Of course, there's no harm in being safe. For a few bucks, it's worth the investment just to make sure you're wiring the circuits around the house correctly.
