. The sole purpose of this purchase was to find something that would reliably prevent my wife's macaroons from sticking to the baking sheets. Therefore, after reading many reviews about silicone baking mats, I chose Velesco. I'm glad I did. The two baking mats I received work great. I'll admit the macaroon came out perfectly clean; You could see the cookie's thin paper film where it was placed. However, I believe this will be the case for any type of material used for this purpose. Other types of cookies (more specifically, oatmeal with raisins) did not stick at all. I could easily rip them out of the pan and let them cool. There were no traces of biscuits. The mats are quite thick and feel durable. The corners are cut off to make them easier to get out of the pan. If there is one downside to these mats (and all silicone mats) it is that they must be hand dried immediately after washing. This is due to the flexible and pliable nature of silicone and therefore they are not easy to dry while sitting on the dishwasher. It's possible someone has a better solution for this than I do, but to be honest it's not a problem. I would recommend anyone who needs baking paper or baking mats for their culinary needs to invest in Velesco baking mats. They cost money.
