Review on Bona® Low Gloss Hardwood Floor Polish by Anthony Wiley

Bono parquet wax caused costly floor problems

I'm crazy. I decided to look for a polisher for my four year old red oak floors. Bono was highly praised, so I bought and applied. Oh my god after using it my beautiful floors took on this milky hue. I panicked and called local experts who were stunned by the results. One of the company reps read the product label with me and said that based on what the label says and your following instructions for use, this should not have happened. The recommendation was that I need to restore the $2,400 floors. I had two other experts quote me for the repair, they arranged visits but based on my description of the problem they estimated the amount at $3,000. It is not available. I went to Bono's website - it didn't help. I clicked on the 'Professional' tab on their website and instead of giving any direction, they listed the names of the flooring professionals in the area that I had already called and gotten a solution from. They were surprised to learn they were listed on Bono's website. Then I went to YouTube, convinced that there must be a cheaper solution. What I found was a promo to buy another wax remover product from them. I was so angry. Now I was on all fours washing the floor at least 4 times to remove the veil but to no avail. The Bono product seems to have removed the polyurethane from my floors as they are still squishy and streaked. I am a desperate consumer and wish I had found this page before embarking on this journey with this Bono hardwood floor polish. I have to live with the damage for a while because now I have to save up to fix what happened. The positive comments I read before make me suspicious now. Beware!
