I bought this to use with Comcast/Xfinity. This was for a friend who lives in a different service area than me, so I checked Comcast's hardware compatibility list. I was concerned as their service area seems to have some differences (for example they still have basic cable and my area is all digital and the modem I use in my area is not listed for that area). This model was listed for both areas and received the full rating in the field test. In both areas we just had to plug it in and wait a few minutes. No calls to the cable company, no hassles. Worked great when both connected to a router or directly to a computer. It was a smooth ride. It takes a little longer to turn on for the first time than some modems I've used, but not as long as others. So overall I'm very happy with it.
