💨 High-Speed Webstar DPC2100 Cable Modem: Unleash Lightning-Fast Internet Connectivity Review

This cable modem works great with Time Warner (Road Runner) cable although it is not on the approved cable modem list but it works. I had to call support twice to activate it. The first time it was their automated system that sent an automatic activation signal. I waited 1 hour as he said it might take and nothing. I then called support again and spoke to a support person who had to enter the modem's MAC number into their system. after entering it I was online in less than 5 minutes!

I bought this to replace my existing TWC modem because TWC are now charging a new monthly rental for their modems. It was very easy to set up by calling TWC customer service. I just had to plug it in and provide the MAC address. After that I restarted my computer and router and when they worked again the modem worked just as well as my old one. Note that I have turbo internet and none of the higher classes; This modem does not work with TWC over Turbo.

When BH recently decided to charge us 'modem rental' for a modem we had for 8 years, I decided to search the internet for a cheaper alternative. This modem was cheap and easy to install. Please contact your local retailer for a list of supported brands/models. After receiving it, I called BH tech support and we set up this modem in less than 10 minutes. They need to ping it and upload it to their server/database. Speedtest shows constant and high speeds! All in all a good buy.

Used product as advertised but works beautifully. The price paid is reimbursed for the rental cost I would pay Comcast for just 2 months. We've been using it for a month with no problems. It seems that the Comcast model has been discontinued as DOCSIS 3 technology becomes more popular in the market.
