Review on 🔧 Tailgate Liftgate Rear Window Latch Handle Release Cable Part for 1997-2002 Expedition E-Series Van by Darius Slater

After struggling for hours with the missized metal sleeves Friday night, I ordered two of these cables for $19 each Friday night for a tailgate and window repair. THEY arrived on SUNDAY midday and were installed on Sunday evening. Installation is quite tricky due to lack of space, but if you take a photo of the cable routing as a reminder, then unscrew the latches and take your time, it's doable. It is helpful to have a second person hold the tailgate open, hand you screws, etc. Be careful when handling the glass window latch. When replacing the cable, it is easy to inadvertently disable the door ajar sensor. Make sure the door ajar sensors are working properly and turn off the courtesy lights, etc. when closing the tailgate before replacing the trim panel. Hope that helps.
