Review on International MINGTONG Worldwide Universal Electrical by Deandre Vogt

Great International Adapter

This is a quality product, you might think you can't do anything with an international adapter, but they add as many bells and whistles as you would expect from such a simple device. It feels solid, it's compact, it has an LED indicator when it's plugged in so you know if it's getting power from the outlet (so you don't have to wonder if the problem is with the plug or yours device is lying when it is not working). ), switching between international port types is easy (press the button and slider or they remain locked in the device), and it has four USB ports. But what I like best is that it has an easily accessible fuse along with an extra fuse, meaning that if more than one amp does over-voltage of some kind, it should blow the fuse, not your unit. And there you can blow them .switches. fingernail. I'm not an electrician so take a good look at this, but this addition seems like a nice plus to me. I tested it with 2 different devices at home and checked everything (I checked each port several times, I'm too careful). I look forward to using it on my upcoming trip. A quick warning: This is a voltage adapter, not a voltage converter. They are pretty clear about this on the product page. I had to google what that means and you should too. The bottom line is, if you are in a country that doesn't use 120V in the US AND your device doesn't support dual voltage (120V or 240V), then DO NOT plug your device into a different voltage outlet. innings The good news is that most adapters (e.g. iPhone block plugs or laptop adapters etc.) are dual voltage, BUT MAKE SURE YOU CHECK BEFORE CONNECTING, otherwise you could fry something. This is especially important when using USB ports! Make sure your USB ports are either using a device with the same voltage as the outlet, or the USB plug converts the device's voltage for you. I'm not an electrician, but I suspect most of the conversion happens in the plugs and not the USB cable. So be careful. And also, seriously, great product! Better specs than any of the international adapters I've used before and have had about three in the past (I travel a lot).
