This is my first engine filter review in my life. Growing up, I took out a factory part in every car I ever owned and always put a cold air intake in it. But due to the fact that the money was not enough with COVID and other personal matters, I started looking for regular filters, since they differ greatly in price. . After reading reviews and comparing others. I tried this one, most importantly it can be washed and reused. It was well packaged and with few instructions, but it's just a filter, many of the instructions aren't really needed. But if you have no experience and auto mechanics get over your head, I have no disrespect and no understanding. I also have a weakness, just like everyone else. You can watch a video on how to change it. I swear it's easy and will cost you a lot less than going to a workshop (dealer) or garage. It only takes a few minutes. I just installed it and gave it a few weeks to see how it would work before leaving a review. I've been really impressed, especially with the mileage I've gotten so far. I've added 2mpg to my trips (highway) and found the truck runs smooth. One thing I noticed in other reviews, I didn't hear any difference. Was a bit disappointed with this one lol but not enough to go back lol. I love the difference in MPG and how smooth my truck drives. I always have 5/23/24 on the Autobahn, now on the 70-75 Autobahn. (Image included) In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this filter to anyone who owns a 3rd gen Tacoma just looking for a filter replacement. You won't be disappointed, but I recommend cleaning your throttle body so you have good airflow. You can watch a video on cleaning, it's very easy even if you have no car maintenance experience, and it only takes about 20-30 minutes. That means removing the air filter, cleaning it and reinstalling the air filter. I also recommend learning this so your car always has good airflow and keeps dirt/debris out of the engine. Many people advise cleaning the throttle body every 100,000 km. That's bs, depends on where you drive/live. I wash every 3 months or 30,000 miles. Some might call it overkill, I don't blame them, but I love a clean drive and love spending my time maintaining my cars to make them last. It's cheaper to clean the throttle body yourself than to take it to the shop. Just my two cents/opinion! When you receive this filter and open the box, it should be in a clear, sealed plastic bag that is bright red in color and lightly smeared with oil. If your package is opened, do not use it. If it's damaged, send it back and get another one! Because it can be washed and reused, you'll never need to buy a new filter again, but you'll need oil and a cleaning kit every time you clean it.
