Review on 📱 I2CDriver by Excamera by Brendan Baker

For some inconceivable reason this device cannot be used offline, it needs a PC for everything. I'm not sure what the point of an LCD is if you don't use it for anything when connected to a PC. Also, it has all sorts of blocking issues. I have two of these devices and this happens to both of them. I've tried this on several PCs and laptops and it happens on all of them. If you have this device hooked up to high voltage power lines the moment you plugged it in, there's a good chance it's going to block completely. The only reliable way to get this device working is to plug it in first and THEN plug in the i2c device. I usually try to troubleshoot the code - unfortunately this thing is coded in myforth. Then no. I ended up buying a cheap Chinese logic analyzer and using it with pulseview. i2cdriver is a great idea, but the execution is extremely flawed and needs a complete rethink. 1) no myforth. please. just no. 2) make offline by default and usable offline. In short, make this device usable without a PC.
