Review on Enhanced Performance with General Tools 148 Rechargeable Stainless: A Versatile and Convenient Tool by Robert Farrar

Why don't other manufacturers offer a USB rechargeable caliper set? I use my calipers regularly; but I have to change the batteries on the port versions about every year. With this more expensive kit; I can load up with my computer since that's where I do most of my CAD work. The reason for the loss of the star is twofold: 1) calipers did not work immediately. I had to follow the calibration procedure in the manual to get it working properly. 2) Expensive. If the same "brand" is sold on HF; for 1/4 the price. and these only add USB charging... they show they need competition.
