It took me a while to install it on my Carisma f-150. Also, I had to replace the power plug to connect to my NiMH 2S battery. I tried using a battery for the motor and sound but it didn't work. I suggest using two separate batteries, one for the scanner and one just for the ESS sound box. I used a NIMH 3800mAh 7.2V so maybe another battery can power both at the same time!? Anyway, I'm satisfied and the sound is great.
