I was expecting a much lower quality product for the money I paid but these are very solid well built units. They have a metal body and a plastic front panel. The only thing I found a bit cheap was the aluminum wire, not copper. but at 6 watts I'm not at all afraid that these wires will overheat. It's important to note that somewhere in the 60-90Hz range they have a visible strobe. It's only really noticeable with running water or whatever under those lights, otherwise it won't bother you.
