Strong 3 stars, BUT.

I give this product a STRONG 3 stars for timely delivery, great looks and absolutely great sound. From the person who wants deep, rich sound, this is for you. I have a few questions I wanted to get in touch with K&N about my 2013 Chevy Malibu 2LT. 2.5L My first problem: The engine stalled at low revs with loss of torque. I am very OCD when it comes to arranging things in my car and I have the intake manifold installed correctly. The waterlogged part might need some tweaking, which means more money. Not a PLUG N PLAY product. Second problem: My MPG dropped from 24.5 to 18.6. Based on the reviews and website I think I should increase my gas mileage. Well, to tell the truth, I opened it up and saw how this thing sounds (IN MANUAL MODE) and it screams. But I always reset the digital counter. I drive this car to work (6.2 miles) and pick up the kids and have light foot. As I said in my 1st issue, if I press the pedal even lightly it seems to get stuck a bit causing me to have to give it more throttle and messing up the MPG readout. The third issue is that the included screen is completely rubbed into my heat shield covering the shield. What I like about this receiver is that it sounds fantastic and draws attention. The engine temp gauge reads about 12% colder, and when the gearbox is set to manual, that's great. If you don't care about MPG. I'm saying that because my Malibu is a family car, so I figure I might have to send it back and just get a drop of a K&N filter instead. Hope this helps you all make a decision. Still a great product.
