Perhaps it is worth stopping at the classic ring compressor.
looks cool. Clamp is not really needed. My pistons are 4,040, so right in the middle of the range. really tight fitting. You have to push the plunger. Aluminum plates come out of the compressor to keep them out of the engine. but some pistons cut metal off the compressor. Right now I have 4 inputs and no other compressor so I think I'm in for a win.
