I did something stupid and blew a fuse on my 'new' car. The result was all sorts of warning lights and many things that no longer worked. I thought I really screwed it up. I took it to my local mechanic who tried to diagnose it but he wouldn't let him in. He told me to check the fuses and send them back the same day if the problem isn't fixed. Four (4) fuse panels with hundreds of fuses. Tries to pull them - TOO SLOW. Went into the owner's manual and tried to figure out 15 fuses that might be related to what I had shorted out. Vain. Went to NAPA and got their tester - two pins adjust to the top of the fuses, slow and lots of adjustment. This tester was the next purchase. The fastest so far. Clamp one end to the ground and simply touch the tester to either of the two holes on the top of the fuse. Found the blown fuse and fixed the problem.
