Every vacuum cleaner should have this, but it doesn't seem to be. No hose was supplied with our Dyson V7, probably because it would have made working with the power nozzles more difficult. But I do not care. I just want to be able to use a brush or crevice tool etc with a hose. and get into tight spaces in my house without having to stick the whole vacuum cleaner right there. This house does its job very well. No hassle, it fits snugly and all parts attach to it without an adapter. Note, however, that powered nozzles like a rotating floor cleaner won't work here because there's no electricity going through the hose. It's not a problem for most of us normal people who just want it to suck and it works fine.
