The screws holding the bracket to my 1.5 inch thick door were too long. They were over 2.5 inches long. I had to go to Low and spend $5 to get shorter studs. The instructions do not indicate the difference between washers/spacers. or label parts correctly. The measurements you use to mark and drill are not common. For example, the 7/16" bit is a custom size and wasn't in my RYObi, Dewalt, or Milwaukee bit set, I had to borrow it from a neighbor. Also, the door is marked 1. -9/16 in. and 3- 9/16" is very difficult for no reason, just drill holes in the bracket 1/16" deeper so it can be 1-5/8" and 3-5/8". Avoid this.
