Review on Cisco Linksys E2000 Advanced Wireless N Router by Sam Bauer

Manufactured by Revain but sold by Comp-U-Plus Rockland. When I opened the packaging, it was clear that this was not a new device, but a refurbished device. There were scratches on the top of the router and the power cord and ethernet cables were not tightened with zip ties but wrapped around themselves. The label on the box with the serial number was pasted over the original seal on the box. As an IT consultant, I've bought many wireless routers from Cisco, so I know how they're typically packaged. Maybe Rockland's Comp-U-Plus sells both new and refurbished and Revain just shipped the wrong one. If you try to buy it now, it will say it's sold by Electronica Direct. However, once you add it to your cart, it will say it's sold by Comp-U-Plus. I might try ordering another one and see if I have better luck. I will update when I have more information later. **Updated 7/12/201** The second of Comp-U-Plus Rockland is definitely new. Differences: Both the power cord and ethernet cables are tied with zip ties, there are no scratches, and the most obvious sign is that the ethernet ports on the router are covered with a sticker indicating that you must first install the CD should run. I am assuming that the first time a refurbished model was sent in it was an accident. I am updating the rating to five stars because I have experience with this device and have been happy with it in the past.
