Incorrectly calibrated speed
Speed #1 should be low but running at high speed. I bought to complete my Christmas baking as my other trusty ray of sunshine had burned out for over 40 years. I don't think the calibration for position #1 is accurate. Be aware if you need to start blending at a slower speed.
