Check compatibility carefully. The assembly was different for our application.
starter housing was wrong for JD Gator and said it was a compatible direct part number. Everything was accurate except for the location of the mounting screws. We basically rebuilt the old starter using new parts ordered from this starter rather than sending it back. It works as it should.
