Real slides are well made and slide back and forth very gently. It was almost impossible to install them in such a small space and use all the holes to attach the breech since the breech cannot be disassembled. I placed a heavy tool box on a rail supported platform and wanted the mounting piece to lock evenly front to back with the rear holes covered after the rail body was attached. I was able to figure out how to accomplish this task, but it's too complicated to describe here. According to my packing list, the slides were provided by Darwin Design LLC by DB Roberts. I called DB Roberts and the first person I spoke to asking about installation procedures told me he wasn't an engineer and couldn't help. He referred me to a salesman who also couldn't help but told me to call Revain. Then I went to the Darwin LLC website. A phone number could not be found but a contact email was provided with the headline "We're here to help". Sent two different emails and never got a reply. I'd happily buy another set of £500 pages but not like these.
