Review on 📶 Enhance Control with Spektrum Transmitter/Receiver Bluetooth Programming Module, SPMBT1000 by Jason Cartwright

I wanted to be able to program my DXe transmitter over the phone with this unit on the go, but the experience made me think about buying another Spektrum product. I was able to connect to the transmitter and my phone fairly quickly, but immediately got an error message saying I needed to update the transmitter's firmware. Everything falls apart here. To do this, you need to create an account with Spektrum (they don't even have SSL on their site, which is why Chrome flags it as insecure). Once you have created an account you will need to register your transmitter which requires the transmitter serial number which CAN ONLY BE FOUND BY downloading the program and using YOUR USB CABLE to find it! Once you have the serial number you can register the device, download an OTHER PC app and theoretically install the updated firmware. At this point, you can use the PC app to do what the phone would do anyway, turning that dongle into a waste of time and money. Channel outputs, this is basically your only option.
