You get what you pay for

Mid-range aluminum body. Not the worst available, but not overly shelf-friendly either. The capacity (9 fl oz) is actually significantly smaller than the other 6 cup moka pots (12 fl oz). By Bialetti's standards it's only a 4 or 5 cup pot, not 6. The spout lets the coffee fizz and leaves the coffee grounds in the finished product. There is always excess water in the tank. A few drops can always spill out of the spout when pouring. The safety valve is not a pressure pin like the Bialetti, but rather looks as if the pan would be destroyed if it worked once. The percolator has a rounded edge that requires more pressure to push the coffee up. This creates a bitter taste. At the same time, this thing will not break after assembly. Take it with you on a hike. Take it to work. Throw him down the stairs. At $15, it's not a bad investment, but if that's your daily cup of coffee, step up to $30 and get a big-name brand.
