A definite improvement over my 5 gallon bucket bag

I recently had a very long day fitting antique interior doors in a 100 year old house and when I got home I opened the back door of my truck. My 5 gallon "bucket bag" bucket filled with hand tools rolled out the back of the truck and spun 20 feet down the driveway, turning my driveway into what appeared to be a hand tool sale. This completes the bucket installation. This has been a pain for a long time - don't waste your money on these things. I researched suitable "tool bags" personally and on the internet for several months and finally bought this CLC model. I chose the CLC because I still have a CLC leather tool sling that I bought in college (1970's) when I was rebuilding burnt houses at school. This sling is bleached and beaten to death but it's still 100% functional, it still fits and I love the 45 year old "patina" it shows. Good and bad sides of this new CLC Pro tool bag :- Good size, not too big but big enough to carry my most used hand tools with me, I'm getting too old to walk up and down 30 flights of stairs - I need to have all my most used hand tools by my side.all Kinds of pliers, wire cutters, wire strippers and utility knives A large bag with a small plastic box that I use for wire nuts and small hardware which is really handy - Amazing capacity - I'm amazed at how much I can fit in this bag Con - The shoulder strap is absolute rubbish I would pay $10 more for a bag with a real shoulder strap I replaced it with an old heavy duty shoulder strap I had when I was 200.00 Flew 0 miles per year. CLC dropped the ball onto his shoulder strap. All in all this bag was a welcome improvement over my bucket bag, stays in the back of my truck, saves me 1000 steps a day and is well made. Hope that helps!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I don't really have bad feelings about it, it's ok
