Great looking extra thick aluminium. Clean appearance so it can be used in a modern home or cottage. The surface is satin, non-slip to the touch but smooth. You don't have to worry about it bending over or collapsing when kids are hanging on it. The only problem with the installation was the thickness of the aluminum. I went slow and easy, pre-drilled and still broke the drill. The fairing was well protected with tape so there were no dents when it arrived or when I installed the railing as I had two installed. After assembly, I easily removed long adhesive strips without leaving any residue. I am planning to order more for another section where I need outdoor railings. I used handrail mounts from my local Home Depot and they worked great.
