Review on Gskyer Telescope for Adults and Kids: 600x90mm AZ Astronomical Refractor Telescope with German Technology for Astronomy by Ricardo Knight

Great tool for science classes, need an equatorial mount for pros

I ordered the telescope well in advance for the Blood Wolf Moon super eclipse earlier this year. Unfortunately the weather is cloudy today. However, this telescope works well and the quality exceeded my expectations. I ran an actual astronomical optical telescope worth millions of dollars many years ago as a college intern. At very low magnification, the image quality when observing the moon is comparable to this telescope. The main difference is the stability of the tripod, at maximum magnification with a 5mm lens this telescope's image shakes a bit, but that didn't bother me too much after I put some rubber washers under the tripod leg to dampen the vibration caused by the ground , I assume oven nearby. At low magnification with a 25mm lens, vibration is not a problem. This is a great learning tool for kids as it can easily see the surface of the moon. It's too cold outside now in winter and I can't stand in the cold for long to try other planets. I guess I'll need an equatorial mount for that, which can cost as much as this telescope. Again, this is good evidence that the cost of a telescope is much greater than its price. I'm very happy with the choice and expect summer to come soon when I can work all night. Another feature I really appreciate is accessories, including a phone holder for presenting on social media and a Bluetooth remote shutter that works well with my Android phone. It would be better if the DSLR camera adapter was also included. I think it's great for science class and school. For more professional use you still need an equatorial mount.

Like it. Wish I purchased the 160mm Telescope. It's a keeper. :-)
