Review on Toko T14 Digital Wax Iron by Sean Bond

I bought this iron to shrink fabric on the airplane fuselage. The temperature of the iron should be reasonably accurate. Aside from the dial feature for setting the temperature, which feels cheap or like I've rewound a clock, the physical construction and feel of the iron was impressive. The worst aspect of this iron is that it never got anywhere near the advertised temperature. (100 to 160 degrees C) I used a high quality digital laser thermometer for testing. 55 degrees Celsius is the limit. I thought I just had a broken one. I sent it back and Revane quickly replaced it with another one. I LOVE AMAZON! The second was worse! 52 degrees was the maximum temperature. I have confirmed this using two different independent laser thermometers and my own hand!
