Mixed Product Mess :-(

LOL I don't even know where to start but here is the card I've been in charge for 10 years people pay me to solve their problems. Before that I solved problems in other companies. Reviews It didn't scare me. Faulty products are scared Don't scare me. I bought this product to work with my jvc hr-s8000u svhs.deck and ok insert Carry to use how many tapes per disk. The first issue is that this product doesn't come with a SVHS cable.I had to dig through the vault to find out to find it. This product does not work for me without an SVHS cable. Period. I read other reviews and many said that this VC500 works with modern operating systems. I'm currently running the Windows 10 Fall 2017 feature update release (I can't install the current version 1803 update). I downloaded both the full package and the latest Power Director 12 offered by Diamond. I plugged in the device and stopped all attempts to install the windows driver. I unzipped the VC500W10PD_Complete_install.ZIP file, ran the VC500.EXE and installed the drivers. Did. I installed Power Director and found I needed an SVHS cable. I only had sound without. Using Power Director, as many have warned, suddenly stops capturing and says I'm trying to capture protected content. I'm not sure how safe a 15 year old high school baseball game is, but here it is. The power director is not good! So I am currently working on the EZGRabber software and trying to get it working. Many new computers come with some form of Power Director or Power DVD. With an install of almost 800MB, I feel like the Power Director is bloated. I will remove it when I finish this project. This solution works, but with limitations. - Not easy to capture (copyright error) - Not everything necessary is in the box (cables and software outdated) - Installation can be difficult for the uninformed or inexperienced
