All my kitchen items are cream with real wood accents. I was delighted to find this kettle but accidentally scratched the lid handle with my fingernail and realized it was a sticker and not wood or even something more durable like plastic wood. I will keep the kettle because it goes perfectly with my jewelry and I'm in love with it, I'm just worried about how it will hold up in the wash. Maybe I'll just use it more for decoration. I also like the size of the kettle, it's not too big as I have a small kitchen.
