Review on 3D Protection Hip And Butt Padded Shorts For Skiing, Ice Skating, Snowboarding, And Skateboarding - Ideal For Men And Women by Matt Williams

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Stretchier and thinner than expected, but should do the job.

I'm not sure how one could accurately review this without having taken a bad fall. And even then how do you know it would have been worse without it? I guess then I would say this does have decent padding and at the least would protect you from road rash.I will say if you're between sizes, go smaller. The base fabric is thin and really stretchy. I went larger and it feels a bit loose. Not so much that the padding would not be there when I need it to, but loose enough that pads might get a little misaligned when running around. I was envisioning something tighter, like thicker spandex (like speedo thigh length swim pants), but it's much thinner. Like you can see your hand behind the fabric kind of thinner. One other complaint I have is the front is secured with velcro (where the fly would be) and some of the velcro digs into my dad bod belly a little. So I would probably wear it over a shirt or something. It does come with a zipper pouch, which is nice. but not sure how often I'd end up using it.As long as the value is there, I think this is a decent product. Considering so many people are out there with basically zero protection, something easy to put on such as this would be good. I don't see this lasting more than one fall though. Overall with slight discomfort in certain situations and the thinner construction, I think this is closer to a 3.5 star product than a 3, so it gets 4 stars.

They fit my daughter well. She''s around 108 pounds. They''re easier to get on than I expected too. I hope they last a long time. She''s learning how to roller skate and become a slider.
