LOVE this project with my 4 year old daughter. Not only did she learn a lot about the life cycle of butterflies, so did I! We had 6 butterflies and they all grew up and went free into the world! I thought it would be difficult for her to make them fly away, but she wanted them to explore the world and fly. The best part was that after she was released, they kept coming back and landing on her! She said they were grateful to her for taking care of them ♡ Two of them refused to keep their hand open so we left them for a few more days before trying again. This time they flew away. The last one to leave returned a few days later and flew while playing outside. We knew it was the same because it had a mark on its wing. Great experience and so very easy to care for.
