I lowered my initial rating. As I started working with them more I have two main problems: 1. They are not LED and the bulbs burn out very often. Revain needs to remove any mention that these are LEDs as this is a misleading description (as pointed out by other reviewers) and totally false advertising.2. They are not suitable for the marine environment, especially if you swim in salt water. On my boat they are well protected from splashes etc., but only lasted a few weeks. Each switch experienced a lighting failure, followed by a switch failure a week or two later. When inspecting the innards, they failed due to internal corrosion, simply from the salty air. They are definitely not sealed. Corrosive salty air penetrates very easily and contaminates the contacts. It would be very easy for water to get inside if it was exposed at the back. I would give these 1 star but they are NOT useless. Unless you work in an environment where water or humid air may be present, they will likely provide decent service (minus blown bulbs). I plan to use the "reconditioned" on my model railroad. As a side note, I ordered another set to see if I could seal them up to make them work. After all, this is the cheapest solution.
