Don't drink after the night or your veins will move if an IV is needed before surgery.

Consult your surgeon before purchasing. The 3rd carbohydrate drink 1-2 hours before surgery is not recommended as your doctor says not to eat anything after midnight. This carbohydrate gets your veins moving, making it difficult for your nurse or anesthetist to puncture the vein. My left arm was bruised after 3 attempts. i cried Finally, the anesthetist carefully inserted the needle into my right arm.
