Absolutely love the size to power ration of these lanterns, and the price point is incredible. The amount of light they produce is impressive! I also really appreciate the lantern and flashlight interchangeability. My only criticism is that the lantern is so bright it makes it difficult to look at it and a little awkward to use. When you place it on a table top the light is so bright it makes it hard to work facing the light. When I placed the light on the floor the top of the lantern creates a nice shield but the amount of light thrown off into the room is less. What this lamp needs is a slightly larger canopy on top. The flashlight kicks ass! I use it to walk my dog at night. Living in a rural area and there could be deer, skunks, racoons, etc that my dog might run after. Even though she's leashed the Herobeam lights up such a large area and critters literally high tail it for the woods!
