Used this on my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee to bypass the security gate with no problems. This allowed me to turn on the trailer light outputs for a non-factory fitted hitch using FCA's aftermarket software. I had trouble finding a dealer who either knew what I needed to do or was willing to do it. No complaints and cheaper than some others I've seen. Just plug it in in place of the security gateway, program it, remove it and plug the gateway back in, which is pretty easy. No codes and after removing everything worked as it should.
