Enhance Your Jeep: ECRI Security Gateway Bypass Module 2018-2020 Wrangler Gladiator Review

I have successfully used this product, Alfa OBD, BAFX 3127 OBD reader and my old Android tablet to change some factory settings on my 2019 Laramie 1500. Everything turned out great.

Okay, the process of getting the SGW was far from desirable. Unplug the center console, unplug the radio display, find the three 7mm screws just behind it. Stick your hands in and separate two from the SGW and stick it in the bypass. Works like a charm with Alfaobd.

Im impressed with a unit that is half the price of other similar units and gets the job done. After finding the protection module, I unhooked wires 12 and 8 and snapped them both directly into this module. Boom access with alfaobd app to change vehicle parameters. Handling green and white or sensor cables is no longer necessary.

Used this on my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee to bypass the security gate with no problems. This allowed me to turn on the trailer light outputs for a non-factory fitted hitch using FCA's aftermarket software.
