With all the hassle of connecting bluetooth devices (especially after the first time and then back to them) I was pleased to find this connection is great with our two Airpods. I plug it into the headphone jack on my video receiver (the easiest way). And I can charge it via the USB cable (which I've noticed makes noise in my setup, so I only use it to charge and then turn it off when I use it - it could be a problem with the USB connection of my receiver). Either way, connection times for my AirPods are fast. And the sound is perfect. Completely changes the quality when watching movies or shows (like Voice) if you really want to listen to high-quality music.
