Now I have two of these devices. The pass-through power transfer works as intended, even on a power hungry device like a 15" Device.PMB.My only complaint is that the USB Type-A ports are oriented in one direction, while the HDMI and Ethernet ports are oriented in the opposite direction.However you use them, some ports stand out upside down compared to the default orientation on other devices. A slightly longer cable would also help. The HDMI port also doesn't support 4k60, but I understand that would require a Thunderbolt 3 adapter. As is, it works also with regular USB-C 3.1 ports, which is an understandable compromise.I wouldn't mind seeing a TB3 version that offers 4K60 HDMI or DisplayPort.Apart from these n small problems when considering alternatives, you have either fewer ports, no power supply, or much bulkier (and more expensive) docking stations. It's small enough to fit in a camera bag or backpack bag and adds all the inputs and outputs you could possibly need.
