This is a good power adapter. Almost silent, which is great. The fan rarely spins up in economy mode because the power adapter doesn't generate much heat. When it gets hot enough, the fan spins up and then shuts off again. But even if you leave the fan on all the time, it's very quiet, although it makes a faint high-pitched sound that really bothers me. Others have also mentioned it and said it goes away after a while, but not in my case. Deducted a star because I was missing a couple of cables, including the power cord. Power supply without network cable. I don't know if this is a packaging error by EVGA or an error by Revain or a third party, but whoever is responsible, this is a quality control issue and inconvenient for the buyer.
