Type of review

Only lasted 4 months before completely dying. I made a warranty claim and was initially very happy with the customer service until they gave a warranty on the product because they said the unit I was returning was damaged in transit. They provided me with a photo so I could see the damage myself and I hardly notice the damage to an already defective product. I have attached a photo to show they are looking for an excuse to deny the claim. This will be the last EVGA product I will buy. From now…

Cons
  • Nothing here

Waste of money, very noisy

Benefits. it does the job. The supplied cables are not suitable for ketchup and mustard. That's all. minuses. The fan is very noisy and makes a whirring noise when the computer is turned on. I've tried turning eco mode on and off and none of them sound good. In Eco mode, the coil whistles very loudly, the activated fan makes an unpleasant noise and works constantly without Eco mode. Basically, you can't win. You might not notice the noise if you're gaming with headphones or if you have other…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

This is a good power adapter

This is a good power adapter. Almost silent, which is great. The fan rarely spins up in economy mode because the power adapter doesn't generate much heat. When it gets hot enough, the fan spins up and then shuts off again. But even if you leave the fan on all the time, it's very quiet, although it makes a faint high-pitched sound that really bothers me. Others have also mentioned it and said it goes away after a while, but not in my case. Deducted a star because I was missing a couple of…

Extra modular power cords are hard to come by

Apparently this is the only evga power supply that uses a different modular cord connector format than any other evga power supply. I wanted more classic Molex power connectors for power risers, but the kit only includes 1 cable for it and 3 SATA power cables. Since evga doesn't make cable sets for this, I had to order custom Molex cables from CableMod at a slightly inflated price. In the end, it's better to spend a little more for another evga power supply (avoid the GQ), especially if you…

Simple, functional, easy to install

I've been using EVGA power supplies for a while now and this unit has worked well, upgrading my GPU from a 1060 3GB unit (cyberpower why?) to a 2060 Super without the headache, plus the added reassurance of getting rid of that unnamed 500W box that was in the pre-built computer. Half the module costs a little more since you always need the CPU and MoBo power connectors, but you have the luxury of using as many PCI-e and SATA power connectors as you need at the moment, making it look less…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Uncertain

Pop goes like a weasel

I thought this power supply worked well after two months of use. One day I turn on the game and suddenly I hear a loud bang. I look around my room and don't think about the fact that my computer is broken. I looked at my screen again and nothing, my computer wouldn't turn on. I opened it, put my nose in and smelled smoke. But after that there was no more signal. This time I bought a Thermaltake power supply, plugged it in and it worked. I crossed my fingers and hoped that after that loud bang…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some trouble

Great value and quality.

A really good product, especially for the price. The fan is very quiet and has an economy mode in which the fan only turns on under load. I disabled Eco mode and it's still a lot quieter than the EVGA power supply that was on my pre-built computer. Now the computer sounds much quieter. I thought it was my case fans making noise, but I think it was my old PSU fan. It is a semi-modular device, which means that all cables except for the 24-pin connector to the mainboard are modular. You only need…
