Review on Tire Michelin Primacy 3 215/55 R18 99V by Mateusz Rybarczyk ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great quality, happy with it one hundred percent!

Stood on VW Golf 4 from 2022 to 2022. The wet grip of the Primases is excellent in my opinion. Despite the fact that they fell in love with me in the tavern, saying that there were 6 drainage paths, but it turned out to be 4, I didn’t even think when buying that 6 grooves did not exist at all in nature (at that time), but a maximum of 4, with they do their job very well. There is no aquaplaning whatsoever. The car stays on its trajectory and does not float; when flying into large puddles, the tires are quickly cleared, allowing you to continue moving. Again, this is at speeds up to about 100 km / h (I have not tried higher). This model has an asymmetric directional tread pattern, respectively, tires of this category have the lowest rolling resistance. In theory, this should reduce fuel consumption (since there are less friction losses), in practice it is not as bad as it is presented. I did not notice a strong difference in consumption compared to the Energy Saver 195/65 / R15 that rolled back (well, maybe 0.1-0.2 liters, but this is subjective, it depends on the driving style). The tires hold the road very well and are wide enough for comfortable (not jittery) lane changes at high speeds on the track. It has fairly strong sidewalls, it holds shocks very well (although with a 55m profile, each blow to the wheel like a sledgehammer on the chest is very scary for it) and swallows road joints almost without unnecessary sounds (it doesn’t like protruding rails, it pierces the suspension at once ). A trip to B. Boldino confirmed its running and wear-resistant qualities, I thought I would come without any wheel at all, but no, only the ABS sensor fell off. The rubber is hard. And at t < +10 degrees, it's just oak. And after a cold start, you need to ride and brake very actively so that it warms up, and in sharp turns the car does not behave like an 18th century chaise on springs and with a complete absence of stabilizers. As soon as it warms up and softens a little, it will show all its excellent traction.

Pros
  • Derzhak. He is divine Wear resistance. Lasted almost 5 years of active driving, and there is still a little left Aquaplaning. He is not. Quiet. What do these 69 dB from the press release mean in practice: only that the rubber, even with all its oakiness and stiffness for cold start, is practically not audible at all. How they managed to do this is a mystery to me. Although while the tires are new, they need a couple more months to roll in, they will make a little noise.
Cons
  • Price. But this, after all, Bears. Therefore, it is not surprising. Rutting. It is the 55 profile that does not like the track very much. A little harsh.
