I ordered these to replace broken grilles on my E46. I originally had chrome on the car but didn't pay much attention to the chrome. I wanted to upgrade to this glossy finish. When I got the new grills the finish was decent. I've seen the glossy OEM black and you can definitely tell the difference in quality! But the price suits me. I had no trouble installing mine as some reviews said the tabs broke during installation. Mine went in with no problems. I also noticed that a lot of the reviews said the hood release lever didn't fit after it was installed and the grilles had to be modified. The lever was definitely very close to one of the fins, but I didn't have to modify my grills to get it working, just bend the lever slightly and I was done. In general. I am happy with the purchase!
